Tech Mahindra, a global leader in technology consulting and digital solutions, has announced the launch of its Autonomous Networks Operations Platform (ANOP) in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS). The platform, powered by advanced artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and generative AI (GenAI) services, aims to transform network operations for communications service providers (CSPs) and enterprises by shifting operations from on-premises infrastructure to a hybrid cloud model.

Built using AWS's cutting-edge capabilities, the ANOP platform delivers real-time, proactive, and preventive network management. By combining Tech Mahindra's telecom expertise with AWS tools like Amazon SageMaker and Amazon Bedrock, the platform enhances operational efficiency while reducing costs. Amazon SageMaker provides infrastructure for building, training, and deploying ML models, while Amazon Bedrock facilitates secure and responsible GenAI application development.

The platform drives significant improvements in network operations by enhancing Network Operations Center (NOC) productivity, reducing Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), minimizing field visits, and accelerating the implementation of network and service configurations. These advancements simplify operations for CSPs and support their transition to cloud-native architectures.

Manish Mangal, Chief Technology Officer for Telecom & Global Business Head of Network Services at Tech Mahindra, highlighted the transformative potential of the collaboration. “The communications industry is at a pivotal juncture, adopting disaggregated, virtualized, and cloud-native RAN networks. By integrating AWS’s GenAI capabilities, our platform delivers real-time insights, and intelligent workflows, and supports O-RAN adoption for efficient and proactive network management,” he stated.

The collaboration also includes joint testing and validation of O-RAN functions on AWS's EKS Anywhere (EKS-A) platform, accelerating the adoption of cloud-based RAN solutions at the edge. This initiative underscores Tech Mahindra and AWS’s shared vision of advancing the telecommunications industry through innovation.

Robin Harwani, Head of Telco Industry Solutions at AWS, praised the partnership's potential to transform telco operations. “By integrating AWS’s AI/ML, including generative AI offerings, Tech Mahindra’s ANOP provides actionable insights and automated solutions for network operations. This enables telco operators to proactively manage networks, optimize performance, and reduce operational costs,” he remarked.

Tech Mahindra is already implementing ANOP for a major European communications provider, driving automation and optimization in network operations. This collaboration sets a new standard for the telecommunications industry, showcasing the power of AI and cloud technologies in delivering smarter, more efficient network management solutions.
