SoftwareOne Holding AG, a global leader in software and cloud solutions, has launched a new SoftwareOne Cloud Competency Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS). This initiative aims to drive digital transformation across Southeast Asia by offering businesses local expertise and support in AWS cloud services and generative AI technologies.

The center will provide access to cutting-edge tools such as Amazon Bedrock, a fully managed service offering high-performance AI models, and Amazon Q, an AI-powered assistant designed for businesses and developers. This collaboration aligns with AWS’s recent announcement of expanding its cloud infrastructure in Malaysia and aims to facilitate faster digital modernization for businesses across the region.

"As an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner, we are excited to collaborate with AWS in establishing this Cloud Competency Centre, bringing our global expertise closer to local clients,” said David Tan, Regional Services Leader, APAC at SoftwareOne. He further adds, “This will help businesses enhance their digital journeys through cloud migration, application modernization, and more.”

Peter Murray, Country Manager of AWS Malaysia, echoed this sentiment, adding, “AWS is committed to enabling innovation and digital transformation. SoftwareOne’s expertise will help businesses adopt AWS services more efficiently.”

The centre will also guide clients in deploying the SoftwareOne Landing Zone for AWS, a pre-configured framework designed to build secure and scalable AWS environments. Using Terraform, a leading infrastructure-as-code tool, SoftwareOne aims to streamline AWS workload deployment for its clients.

The launch highlights SoftwareOne's ongoing commitment to empowering digital transformation, providing crucial support to Southeast Asian businesses as they innovate with cloud and AI technologies.
