At the RIL AGM 2021 on Thursday, Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani unveiled JioPhone Next, a 4G smartphone co-developed with American technology giant Google. In addition, he announced a collaboration with Google to use the latter's cloud capabilities to enable Jio 5G products. Ambani added that under Jio Platforms, the business is testing a full new commerce solution in collaboration with social media giant Facebook, and that Jio-Azure Cloud Centres with a 10-MW capacity have been operationalized in collaboration with Microsoft. The company also intends to extend the capacity and offerings of Jio-Azure data centers for small and medium businesses and start-ups in India.

JioPhone Next –
The JioPhone Next is a made-for-India smartphone that was created in collaboration with Google. The 4G smartphone will be powered by an optimized version of the Android platform, which was specifically developed for the JioPhone Next, and will allow users to consume content and navigate the phone in their preferred language, as well as receive the latest Android features and security updates, according to Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet.
The Google Assistant, automatic read-aloud of screen text, language translation, and smart camera with augmented reality filters, and other capabilities will be included in the JioPhone Next. The product would be accessible in the market on Ganesh Chaturthi, September 10, 2021, according to Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Limited. Jio 5G –
Jio's 5G network and services would be powered by Google's Cloud services, according to Mukesh Ambani. Google will deliver a full end-to-end cloud offering for completely automated lifecycle management of Jio's 5G network and services as part of the cooperation. Furthermore, Google will use its Edge Cloud infrastructure to enable Jio's 5G services by providing an open, scalable, and high-performing platform.
In addition, Jio and Google Cloud will work together to develop a portfolio of 5G edge computing solutions to assist businesses solve problems. Jio will look into developing new services in the areas of gaming, healthcare, education, and video entertainment. These services will be supplied by Jio and powered by Google Cloud, and will make use of Jio's 5G network, software, and Google Cloud's advances in AI/ML, data and analytics, and other cloud-native technologies.
