IFS, a leader in enterprise cloud solutions and industrial AI, has announced that Doppelmayr Group, a global leader in ropeway and intralogistics systems, will transition to IFS Cloud. This shift aims to streamline operations across 55 countries, consolidating Doppelmayr’s complex systems into a single ERP platform to enhance data accuracy and reduce customization requirements.
The digital transformation initiative will impact more than 3,000 Doppelmayr employees worldwide, enabling seamless data integration across its sales, production, and operational sites. By implementing IFS Cloud with the help of partner Flexicode, Doppelmayr aims to enhance efficiency, reduce the need for system upgrades, and focus on delivering increased business value. Gerhard Gassner, Doppelmayr's managing director, emphasized the significance of IFS’s role in their operations, “IFS has essentially become the digital backbone of our business processes worldwide. Moving to IFS Cloud is integral to the digital transformation journey we are on.”
Sebastian Spicker, managing director at IFS DACH, highlighted that this unified platform would foster sustainable growth for Doppelmayr by keeping its systems ‘evergreen,’ ensuring they stay updated without constant upgrades.
This announcement follows IFS’s recent 30 percent rise in annual recurring revenue (ARR), driven by heightened demand in the manufacturing, energy, and utilities sectors, underlining the impact of industrial AI and cloud platforms on global digital transformations.
