However, the Indian education sector is still an unexplored market, yet to be influenced by technology. Avinash Moharil, an industry veteran with over 28 years of industry experience, including over 13 years of experience in IT companies of Silicon Valley realized that, while India was welcoming new technologies in other industries, the influence of technology was almost negligible within the educational industry. Teachers spent most of their valuable teaching hours in managing attendance, records, mark sheets, scores, and there was very slight communication between the parents and school teachers.
Realizing the need to address these gaps within the education sector, Avinash Moharil and Neelam Moharil teamed up to establish Techior Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a software development company recognized globally for its specialization in education based software. "When I first saw the Indian education sector, I noticed that a lot of mandatory operations were still performed manually. Schools were not using professional software. While few schools had switched to using bits and pieces of software for their operations, rest were still using excel files to manage data. However, times have changed now, and there will never be a better time for schools to change than now. I realized that the schools lacked a solution which could assist them in their school management operations. This is when I decided to enter the educational sector and started developing School Management ERP solutions," shares Avinash Moharil, CEO and Managing Director, Techior Solutions.

From marking questions in book or giving handwritten questions to DTP operators who convert it to digital format, to proof reading the test papers and then handing it over to the DTP operators, there is an entire cycle of manual work in between.
