In a significant meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella discussed India's burgeoning technological landscape, emphasizing the pivotal role of artificial intelligence (AI), innovation, and digital transformation. This interaction highlighted Microsoft's growing commitment to India, particularly in advancing AI-driven solutions to bolster the nation’s development.

Nadella expressed his appreciation on social media platform X, commending Modi’s visionary leadership and reaffirming Microsoft’s dedication to aiding India’s aspiration to become an AI-first nation. In response, Modi welcomed Microsoft’s initiatives and underscored the value of their dialogue in enhancing India’s technological ecosystem.

It follows Modi’s recent discussions with other technology luminaries, including former Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka and Perplexity co-founder Aravind Srinivas, reflecting the government’s strategic focus on leveraging technology for economic growth.

India’s commitment to fostering its AI ecosystem is evident through the Rs 10,372 crore IndiaAI Mission, aimed at supporting AI startups, facilitating funding, and overcoming sectoral challenges. The initiative is set to strengthen the infrastructure needed for AI innovation, with the generative AI market in India projected to reach $17 billion by 2030.

Microsoft’s strategic alignment with India’s objectives, aiming to expand AI accessibility and solutions across the country, signals a promising collaboration.
